Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence in Abu Dhabi is accepting graduate applications for fall 2027. The final deadline for most programmes is 15 December 2026 at 5 p.m. Gulf time, and for the M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Computational Biology it is 22 January 2027.
The university describes its M.Sc. and Ph.D. programmes as fully funded. Students receive free tuition, a monthly stipend, one return flight home each year and health insurance, with a university-sponsored UAE residence visa where eligible. The stipend for international students is AED 15,500 on the M.Sc. and AED 17,500 on the Ph.D.
Ph.D. funding comes from the university in year 1, then moves to the student's faculty advisor. It depends on a confirmed advisor match by the end of that year and on satisfactory progress. The Master in Applied Artificial Intelligence is different: it charges AED 170,000 in total and has no university funding.
Applicants need a STEM degree and a CGPA of at least 3.0 or 3.5, depending on the programme. The process includes a screening exam, an AED 200 fee and a technical interview, and decisions are due by 31 March 2027.
