What the funding covers
- The full tuition fee of a one- or two-year master's programme at KTH.
- Year two is covered if your first-year results are satisfactory.
- Living costs are not included.
What you will still pay
| Cost | Who pays |
|---|---|
| Tuition fee for a one- or two-year KTH master's | The scholarship, in full, if you win it; year two depends on your first-year results |
| Swedish university application fee | You, when you apply on universityadmissions.se |
| Living costs in Stockholm | You; the scholarship does not cover them |
Who can apply
- Fee-paying students: in Sweden, generally citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.
- KTH must be your first-priority choice on universityadmissions.se, and you must have paid the application fee; programmes ranked second to fourth cannot get the scholarship.
- Eligible programmes: all two-year master's at KTH, the joint programmes Molecular Techniques in Life Science and Biostatistics and Data Science, and the one-year Architectural Lighting Design. Joint Erasmus+ and EIT programmes and Computer Simulations for Science and Engineering are not eligible.
- Selection rests mainly on academic excellence: grades, the ranking of your bachelor's university, research, publications, work, awards and activities, and your motivation to contribute to the sustainable development goals.
Which nationalities can apply
Every nationality except citizens of the European Union, the EEA countries outside the EU and Switzerland.
